つきまといや待ち伏せ、無言電話などを繰り返す「ストーカー行為」は犯罪で、凶悪な犯罪にエスカレートするおそれがあります。不安を感じたり、被害を受けたりしたら、ためらわずに警察に相談してください。
最寄りの警察署は、24時間相談できます。警察相談専用電話「#9110」は平日午前8時30分から午後5時15分ですが、都道府県によって異なります。緊急の場合は110番に通報してください。女性からの相談には「#8778」もありますが、受付時間は都道府県によって異なり、電話回線などによっては、一部使えない地域があります。
相談に行くときは、日時や場所のメモ、スクリーンショット、電話の録音などの証拠を、捨てずに持って行きましょう。
SNSには、自宅や勤務先が分かる情報を載せないようにしましょう。持ち物に不審な紛失防止タグ（スマートタグ）を見つけたら、自宅に持ち帰らず、すぐに交番や警察署に相談してください。

Repeated following, lying in wait, silent phone calls and the like are stalking, a crime that may escalate into a serious one, so if you feel unsafe or are being targeted, consult the police without hesitation: the nearest police station takes consultations 24 hours a day, #9110 (weekdays, 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.) and, for women, #8778 are consultation lines whose hours vary by prefecture, and 110 is for emergencies. Bring evidence such as notes, screenshots and call recordings instead of throwing it away, do not post anything on social media that reveals your home or workplace, and if you find a suspicious tracking tag (smart tag) among your belongings, do not take it home but go straight to a police box or police station.
