Easy JLPT NewsAbout
Japan's news in easy Japanese — every morning, with furigana, vocabulary and a quiz for JLPT N5–N3.
Each edition takes one story from a published Japanese news source and rewrites it in easy Japanese for one JLPT level. Every edition carries furigana you can switch on or off, a vocabulary list with readings and English meanings, and a short comprehension quiz. Nothing is behind a login.
Articles are rewritten from Japanese news published by government ministries and agencies — the Digital Agency, 政府広報オンライン and the Japan Meteorological Agency among them. Every article names its source and links to the page it was written from, in the byline and again at the foot of the article, so you can read the original. The grammar section is written against the JLPT N4 specification and is fixed content, not regenerated per visit.
Editions are produced by machine from a published Japanese article. They are study material, not a certified translation, and not a guide to what will appear on the JLPT. Readings, meanings and quiz answers are not individually checked by a person before publication, so if something looks wrong it may well be — please tell us. Vietnamese translations are marked on the page when a native speaker has not reviewed them.
If you find a mistake — a wrong reading, a wrong meaning, a quiz answer that is not right — write to chiaki.obayashi@giga-craft.com with the page address. Corrections are made on the page itself, and when the meaning of the text changes the date and what changed are recorded on this page.
No corrections have been recorded so far.
