海で事故を見たときや、あやしいふねを見つけたときは、118番に電話しましょう。かいじょうほあんちょうにつながります。
電話では、いつ、どこで、何があったかをおちついて話してください。
2024年、118番には40万回くらい電話がありました。その99％ぐらいはまちがい電話やいたずら電話などでした。そのため、たすけがおそくなることもあります。ぜったいにやめてください。
2025年1月から「Live118」も始まりました。事故のようすをスマートフォンの動画で送れます。かいじょうほあんちょうの人がひつようだと思ったとき、送ってほしいとたのみます。動画のつうしんりょうは、電話した人がはらいます。

If you see an accident or a suspicious boat at sea, call 118 to reach the Japan Coast Guard and calmly say when, where, and what happened. About 99% of the roughly 400,000 calls to 118 in 2024 were wrong numbers, prank calls and similar, which can delay help. Since January 2025, the Live118 service lets callers send smartphone video when Coast Guard staff ask for it; the caller pays the data charges.
